₹1.05 L – ₹1.65 L1. Pick sliding unless your room is wide. Hinged doors need 60-75 cm of clearance to swing open — that's the exact space your small bedroom doesn't have. Sliding doors open along the wardrobe wall and need zero clearance.
2. Go full-height (floor-to-ceiling). A 7 ft tall wardrobe and a 9 ft tall wardrobe occupy the same floor area but the taller one gives you 28% more storage. Loft compartment for off-season items is non-negotiable in a small bedroom.
3. Add a mirror shutter. Mirrors visually double a small room. One full-length mirror on the wardrobe shutter saves the wall space you'd otherwise dedicate to a dressing mirror, and makes the room feel airy.
4. Use the corner if main wall is taken. If your bed/window blocks the main wall, an L-shape corner wardrobe uses the otherwise-dead corner. The internal corner gets a rotating rack or pull-out drawer to avoid dead space inside.
5. Internal organisers matter more than external looks.
