Three line items where the false economy hurts you for the next decade. One: plywood grade. Marine BWP (IS:710-grade) is mandatory for kitchen carcass and wardrobe carcass. Saving ₹6-12k by switching to commercial MR-grade ply will cost ₹40-95k in rebuild within 4-6 years. We refuse to build with sub-marine ply, even in our cheapest tier.
Two: hardware on high-use items. Kitchen drawer slides, kitchen door hinges, wardrobe sliding rollers — these get used 5-15 times daily. Cheap hardware (no brand, no warranty) fails in 18-30 months. Branded Hettich basic adds ₹15-25k vs no-brand and lasts 7-10 years.
Three: workmanship warranty. Every quote you accept should have a written 5-year minimum (10-year is our standard) workmanship warranty card with brand invoices attached. Verbal warranty has zero value. If anything fails in year 4, you need documented coverage.
