Yes — toilet placement is one of the most important vastu rules. Avoid north-east (pooja zone), centre of house (Brahmasthan), and directly under or above the kitchen / pooja. Preferred: south, west, north-west. Toilet drains should ideally flow to the north or east (this is a CMDA / municipal drainage question too, not just vastu). How do vastu and CMDA setbacks work together?
CMDA setbacks (3m front, 1.5m side, 1.5m rear) are non-negotiable — they determine where you can build. Vastu directions are applied to room placement within the buildable area.
